We are guided by our values. They capture the essential qualities of what makes our network special and they are the standards
These are the standards we’ve set ourselves and they describe our promise to every person who we support.
Integrity
We believe in people, we do ‘the right thing’ and make decisions that we can be proud of. and if we make a mistake, we ‘own it.’
Honesty
We’re not big on shame so we talk about the tough stuff. We share what’s going on to lessen the load and we don’t shy away from topics that others avoid. “You can’t heal what you don’t reveal.”
Courage
Each one of us has a story of courage that has brought us here. We use that same nerve and determination to speak up in often challenging or complex circumstances to advocate for others or ourselves
Compassion
We don’t seek to blame or shame. We champion empathy and curiosity to understand and reconcile, especially towards our relationships with ourselves
Respect
We respect ourselves and each other. The expertise generated by lived experience is the cornerstone of our work
Humility
We value ourselves and are aware of our strengths and our limitations, knowing that as a group we are stronger.
What should you expect from rsun?
Our values guide our behaviours and will help you understand what to expect from RSUN. We strive to never fall short of these behaviours and they are our promise of how we want to behave with one another, our peers and each individual we come into contact with.

We are ‘real’. We share and appreciate all thoughts and opinions that stand true with our values.
Cooperation
We believe that working together in the spirit of equality and mutual positive intent is the foundation of progress.
